My love of floristry began at the age of thirteen when I had a Saturday job on a flower market stall. I would work all day and then spend most of my wages on flowers to take home and make into arrangements. I spent what I had left on shoes. Life was more simple when I was that age. 

My journey hasn't been a direct path to floristry. I was once a primary school teacher and emotional health and wellbeing consultant for local schools before retraining as a florist in 2011, completing my level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Floristry, both at distinction level. Since then, I have built my Jo Beth floral design brand to be one that is associated with a passion for beautiful floral design, high levels of customer service and above all care and compassion. 

I am not a floristry shop so I work on an appointment only basis, working with families and friends of loved ones to create funeral flowers that truly reflect the life and personalities of the special people they have lost. This way I can ensure I give everyone my full attention and be completely focused on making every design perfect. 

 

I am able to offer my services for all funerals in Derby and surrounding areas, as well as being the in-house florist for George Simnett Family Funeral Directors.
